Privacy Policy

Deeper · Pfeifer LLC · Effective 29 August 2026

Deeper is a training and nutrition planner. This policy explains what it collects, why, and what control you have.

It covers the app, deeper.today, and any related services. Some features described below are optional, and some are not yet available — where a feature requires your permission or an account, nothing is collected until you take that step.

Who we are

Deeper is operated by Pfeifer LLC, Los Angeles, California. For privacy questions, or to exercise any right described here, write to privacy@deeper.today.

What we collect

Information you give us

Health and fitness data

With your permission, Deeper reads from Apple Health: body mass, body fat percentage, lean body mass, VO₂ max, active and resting energy burned, and workouts. A future version may also write completed sessions and weigh-ins back to Apple Health. Health data is used only to produce your plan and your record inside the app. We never sell health data, and we never use it for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Deeper.

Location

If you record an outdoor activity such as a run or a ride, Deeper collects precise location for the duration of that activity in order to draw the route, and to compute distance, pace, elevation and split times. With your permission this can continue while the app is in the background or the screen is locked, because an activity does not stop when you put your phone in a pocket.

Location is collected only while an activity is being recorded. Deeper does not track you in the background at other times, does not build an advertising profile from where you go, and does not sell location data. Routes are yours; they are private unless you choose to share them. You can deny or revoke location access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, and every other part of the app continues to work.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of what was purchased and its status. We never receive your card number, billing address, or any payment credential.

Device and usage information

We may collect device model, operating system version, app version, language and region, crash reports, and basic information about which features are used and when. This is used to fix defects and decide what to build. Where required by law, analytics beyond what is strictly necessary is asked for separately and can be declined without losing functionality.

The assistant

Deeper includes an assistant that answers questions and edits your plan. Where a request cannot be handled on your device, the text of that request and the minimum context needed to answer it may be sent to a third-party model provider under contract to us. That provider is not permitted to use your data to train its models or for any purpose other than returning an answer. Do not send information you would not want processed off-device.

How we use it

Where the GDPR applies, our bases are performance of a contract with you, your consent for health, location and optional analytics, and our legitimate interest in a working and secure product. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

How it is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share only:

We may publish aggregated or de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

Where it lives, and for how long

Deeper is built device-first: your plan and history are stored locally on your iPhone, and remain usable with no network connection. If you enable sync or create an account, a copy is stored on servers in the United States.

We keep personal data while your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes above. Delete your account and we delete the associated data within 30 days, except where we must retain records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. Deleting the app removes what was stored on that device.

If you are outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, using Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism where required.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and at rest on our servers. Access is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and you can withdraw consent for health, location, or analytics at any time.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you additionally have the right to restrict or object to processing, and to complain to your supervisory authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing — we do neither — and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any right. You may appeal a refused request by replying to our response.

Write to privacy@deeper.today. We answer within the period the applicable law allows, normally 30 days.

Children

Deeper is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — in particular if Deeper begins collecting a category of data it did not collect before — we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
